It's Ray, our friend from Pawsitive Tails!

Ray had a rough start to life. You see, he came to the local shelter as a cruelty case, after being found chained in a back yard with another, deceased, dog. But Ray has left all that behind and is looking forward to a new, fabulous life with people who love him.

Ray can't see much and is easily startled, so he'll need a home with older kids and people who will be patient while he learns the layout of the house. He may bump into a few things at first, but he'll get the hang of it lickety split!

Ray loves to meet new people and greets them with a wagging tail, asking for pets. We promise that no one will ever be as happy to have you come home as Ray. No matter how long you're away, Ray will be soooo excited when you're back that he'll tap dance with joy.

Ray spent some time in a foster home and was such a good boy! He spent the majority of time laying on human laps, eating peanut butter from his Kong, and listening to the sounds of the great outdoors. He's such a calm pup!

For entertainment's sake, you'll need to see Ray and his sillies before bedtime. The sillies involve Ray laying on his back and flopping around like a goof, having the time of his life.

Ray knows how to "sit" and is working on "paw." He's very good on his leash and doesn't react to other dogs, usually because he doesn't even notice them. He's a fan of peanut butter and all treats, so don't be stingy! Toys with squeakers are his very favorite. Other toys, not so much, unless they have FOOD in them. Ray loves his food. (He's a dog after my own heart!)

Ray is a fan of his kennel, especially if you leave a radio on for him and give him a flavored Nylabone to chew. He sleeps through the night without a peep and never makes a mess in his kennel. Ray is housetrained, too!

Ray gets along fine with other dogs after an appropriate introduction. But he's a little too interested in the cats, so needs a permanent home with no felines, please.

If you're interested in meeting Ray, call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387! You can also submit an application for Ray here: https://www.pawsitivetailskc.org/adopt/adoption-process/. He's in the Kansas City metro, but transport is available to the right home.
