Barlow is in need of a new place to live where he can be an inside, couch potato dog. Sadly, Barlow lived his life on a chain before finding our friends at Midwest Animal ResQ. He was transferred to The Pet Connection over a year ago for board and train and has learned that life inside can be pretty darned amazing. At only five or six years old, Barlow already has some arthritis and definitely appreciates a soft place to sleep.
We adore Barlow, but know he deserves a family of his own. We also know that whoever adopts this fabulous boy will be so lucky to have him. He looooves people and is such a sweetheart. Barlow is what we call a "leaner," because when you pet and love on him, he relaxes and literally leans into you. Really, it's the highest of compliments to have Barlow lean into you for affection, given all this dear pup's been through. He's definitely a cuddler!
Barlow knows basic commands, walks nicely on leash, and is already housebroken and crate trained. He enjoys the company of kids, but wouldn't pass up the opportunity to dash out an open door, so we think older children would be best. Also, Barlow believes it's his life's work to chase cars, so he needs a fenced back yard. Barlow needs to be the only pet in his new home, but we promise you that he's all you'll ever need.
