Isn't she a beauty? Athena is our friend from Melissa's Second Chances. She's a super smart, sweet Great Pyrenees/Australian Shepherd mix.
Her favorite activities involve being with her people and getting pets from her people. And belly rubs. Those are important, too! She's around 6 years old, but still a puppy at heart.
Athena needs a home with a fenced yard because Athena is not fond of walks on leash. Athena expresses her displeasure by stopping in her tracks (and yours) and refusing to move. She's a big girl, so that's not ideal.
Athena wants to be the only dog in her new home, which makes perfect sense, really, since she is all you'll ever need. Athena's perfect family would not have small kids living in the home.
Athena is attending training classes with The Pet Connection and we encourage Athena's adopters to continue her training after adoption so she can be her best doggie self.
